dont try – you actually WANT them calling with draws when they dont have proper odds.
the moral of the story is, dont pay them off when the draws come in.

Great advice here. If you can recognize that your opponnet is on a draw and they are counting on implied odds to make their play profitable and you do not pay them off if it comes in, you win.
Biggest thing you want out of a villain is someone who can't tell that they aren't in a good situation to draw out on you. The flip side to that is you need to have the discipline and board reading ability to not get smacked harder than you have to when the miricle draw hits. The other side of this is that you have to look at the likely possibilities where draws actually occur and play accordingly. What I mean by this is think about what your opponents have and the likely cards that connect with them for draws. Something that I have recently worked through in my game is how to deal with potential flushes/flush draws. After looking back at the numbers, it just isn't a large enough possibility to worry about on a board with 3 to the flush (< 1% chance on a player who opens about 12% of hands and <4% chance on a player who opens as wide as 25%). A lot of times when you get players playing around with those boards they are trying to push you off making you fear the obvious. There is a lot of post flop skill and player evaluation that goes into making calls on these boards but its a skill you want to progress. Straight draws are more common with players as connected cards seem to be something folks love, but you have to look at the player types and see what they could be trying to draw with. A lot of micro players are going to play broadways, so when they are drawing on a board there is a lot of time where they may have Ace or King hi and a lot of times think that the Ace or King hits they are good and the straight is a bonus.
Biggest advice on can offer on this topic is value bet these situations, but don't get yourself caught up in trying to punish the drawer, it isn't going to get you anywhere against the standard micro player type (they aren't typically aware of what you are trying to do). You are going to get paid off more than you don't and if you keep yourself under control value betting them there is a good chance that you can minimize the damages when they hit. Lastly, be aware of what is on the board, you don't want to pay off when they hit so be aware of the texture and when you hit resistance.
