The villain is LTUkaunas, he has around 400k in prizes.

I just have 21 hands on him where he is 19/10/4.0/0.0 and there is no relevant historic between us

i am calling it off here, being a solid player im just not sure what hes check raising for value on this flop besides a set and being a solid player i think hes gonna bet size a lot better, raise flop smaller , bet turn small and pile river to make sure to get max value from you

wit this line i think you find a lot of lower pairs in his hand that didnt set, or random 7s hes turning into a bluff, most of his combos of 9x and overpairs are 3 betting pre, and most of his value hands he isnt check raising flop and overpiling turn

the fact we know villian is a solid thinking player i think we can stack here and feel pretty good as he just doesnt have a ton of value hands in his range here, sometimes he owns us with sets but i think more often than not were good and hes drawing super thin on the river

Shawn, do you think hes ever flatting with hands in the bb that we expect him to 3bet with?.. This spot looks familiar to me, and sometimes I have taken the line u advocated, and the villain turns over an over pair.

ya def, i think as i said we get owned here somtimes, but i think more times you turn up a hand thats in real good shape….i think its certainly possible for him to have JJ here…uhh maybe QQ i guess but just not that likely with the aggro dynamics of the games recently, most people are trying to stack JJ pre

I probably would have played it the same, considering, I don't know what a better line to take would be. I was just looking for more information to back up they way it was played.

i mean this board completly misses our range, and hes check raising a 974badugi flop, he either has a set, TT-JJ,or air i think, and 90% of the time its air imo….what hands do you think villian is repping here on the flop and then overshipping turn?

villain's flat with 24bb eff looks pretty strong when you think about it. especially when he has a perfect rejam stack and hero's stack is perfect for a resteal too.

that would certainly put overpairs in villain's range

T9s isn’t in our opening range on the button?.

I think if we knew how villain portayed hero's game this would be a lot easier

i mean it is but we have many more combos of air than good 9x hands, he just cant be expecting to get value here unless we are bladed, which we hardly ever are…this is why i tend to believe its a bluff a lot more than JJ or something really good…flatting with this stack is def fishy, but its a 2$ sooo not sure if it means a ton

true, OP states that villain is a reg but how good are the regs that play $2 games, unless it was a big 2r on a sunday possibly

i mean im not discounting ability,

im just not sure hes thinking so deep as to think about stack sizes of him and opener being perfect for re jamming, so if i just flat my hand looks like x and if i raise it looks like x

i could def be wrong and he could have a huge hand here but as AAAAAAAA would say, “his value range is so small”

Benny the tournament is a sunday 2+R and I believe he is a good reg:

LTUkaunas  Click for details 6,566 $4   $12   33% $25,164   Super Tilt 79 PokerStars Sch. Only x
LTUkaunas  Click for details 67,884 $1   $5   22% $74,903   Super Tilt 71 PokerStars

I'm an unknown for him, and that made me call, cuz I felt like he was trying to outplay the fish. Like shawn said I didnt see value on his range.

If you guys think it would add some to the discussion I can post the results.

Thanks for all the toughts guys
