Probably should've folded, but I think villain could've been bluffing or playing a big pair or A9s the same way. The big $22 1st evel

I apolige for the HH, but the converter somehow couldnt convert this one.

Im bb in limppot w 73s and flopped top and bottom pair. I led out and utg called. I continued betting the 9 turn and now utg raised my bet about x10 and was potcommited.

I think utg wouldve raised a flopped set since there were still some players to act behind him on a wet board. He prolly wouldve raised a bog pair aswel for the same reasons. He couldve flatted with the intention to raise the turn with both holdings playing it tricky.

A9s/x9s is also a possibility where villain called the flop w a fd and turned TPTK. 97s is also a hand villain couldve limped in w and wouldve turned a bigger 2pr beating my hand.

I have to admit that during the hand i wasnt really thinking the hand through, being tired from a heavy party the previous day just playing a tourny to pass the time.

So where sets and a flopped straight are more unlikely, but had me beat as was 97/9x for 2pr,  i figured i was up against a big pr or possibly a nine w a fd.

Folding is probably the safest/best way to play the hand since we've just started the tourny and i still wouldve had nearly the starting stack if folded.

think i probably fold because it is so early.  Ive seen people spew with worse, but not sure its worth putting our whole stack in.

seriously though

we know he had 2 pair now, but how the hell can u put someone on that hand

i reckon you're probably right about him doing the same with top pair and Fdraw and unlikey crushed by a set

but i think i'm tighter than everyone else on this site:)

i dont think you're wrong either way you go

hope you put a note on this guy though.. horrible

yeah, think the better play here is to be safe rather than to be sorry. to early to play 100bb+ pot without any reads or having (close to) the nuts
