Yesterday I was in a $22 MTT sng on ACR. You get 1500 chips, blinds go up every 5 minutes I think, and registration closes when starting stack is 25bb (I think). Average stack is very low in general. It’s not uncommon for there to be 13 people left, 5 people pay, and 13bb average stack. Last night, I saw a guy in MP off 9bb, minraise. I called out in chat “aces”, the next player to act tanked into their timebank, called, I typed “Well someone has aces, that’s for sure” and then shoved over the top with AsKs. I was kinda hoping my typing would cause the second player to act to fold a pocket pair, but I’m not expecting it. I was just being chatty. I came over the top because I only had 15bb, but part of me felt like the opener or the cold caller have to have aces in this spot. It just felt like someone willing to play the situation with A2s or 66 wouldn’t be in a $20 game like this at the end of the night. I see many mistakes with short stacks, but the game is actually much tougher than their average game.

I guess my question is, do any of you fold really strong hands in spots like this? AsKs is the nuts, ya know? The original raiser did have aces, but I still shoved.

AKs for me is a go also when i went broke, except you the information that the player min raises only with AA.

If he has it he has it. Nothing you can do.

I was also struggling with these spots. I tried also to interpret villains hands. but DannyN13 (TPE Pro) fixed that leak.

You can only work with the information you got.
