Hey
Reads – V1 (intaial raiser) has been opening often enough pre , they sure do like to play pots , they seem quite aggressive too , i've not seen any showdowns.
V2 Is a good reg and im pretty sure he's a winning reg as well , hade made a load of final tables and seems like a competent player.
First of all i'd like to say , i don't like my call pre , i think 3-betting pre would of been better. Anyone agree?
my range is also going to look pretty strong when i 3-bet a UTG open and given that he's OOP he's going to fold a bunch too which ain't bad for us and if he does call we have a decent hand that flops pretty well. Bad news is we have some reversed implied odds , though it's not like we're going to stack off with top pair here , unless we think he's really bad and will pay us off with lesser hands.
I would have prefered my call if we were in late postion , by calling we could create a multi way pot which ain't bad but someone could also 3-bet and put us in weird spots post flop.
POSTFLOP

flop is standard , though on the turn , i was tempted to bet , i don't think there's going to be much Kx in v1 range but v2 could also have stronger hands like KQ i would think they'll probably raise it up OTF with monsters like 33 TT or KT so i dont think those are in there range.
anyway we get to the river and villian 1 bets 3 quarters of the pot, and it seems like they may be doing this with there missed draws like AQ/AJ/QJ. Though is it possible they'll play a hand like AK this way? they may think they can't get 3 streets of value vs 2 opponents , so they've checked turn to re-evaluate and bet for value otr. all in all i just think there's more bluffs in v1 range and as for v2 there range seems marginal or air. I actually think i may have the best hand here, unless v1 got lucky and rivered a set but i think again thats unlikely since i reckon they would of checked this otf.
thoughts please do we call/fold otr?

I fold pre. Your hand is iffy even for opening UTG1, let alone calling an UTG raise. Don't see a lot of value in betting turn. River is certainly a call in a vacuum, as it's a great bluff-catcher, but I'd feel comfortable assuming most of your opponents don't bluff too often in this spot.

Have you been recently reading dan harringtons book? lol joking 😛

So even if we know villian is opening up often you still think its a fold? i mean he might be opening wide from even UTG? There must be at least some merit in 3-betting here?

Your reads on UTG only go so far. There are seven other people in the hand, and that puts a pretty hard constraint on what you can get away with.
