Hey guys,

Doing some pre SCOOP analysis on defending the BB post ante vs a BTN min raise for various stack sizes. To get a accurate model I need to have accurate ranges for a few opponent types. Just to start us off I have chosen ABC reg, Laggy Guy and Good reg. Below are my ranges and I would like if you guys can add/correct them or just post your own opinion of the ranges.

stack size <15bb::
laggy:
ABC reg: {AA-QQ,AK-AQ}   (note he has a wider button range but he’s shipping Ax and stuff and not minopening it)
Good reg:

stack size 16-25bb
laggy:{A,KK-77,KQ,K7-K2,Q8-Q2,J8-J7,T8-T7,97,87-86,76-75,65,54,43,32,KxJx,Jx6x-Jx2x,Tx6x-Tx2x,9x6x-9x2x,8x5x-8x2x,7x4x-7x2x,6x4x-6x2x,5x3x-5x2x,4x2x,Kx8y,Qx9y,Jx9y,Tx9y,9x8y}
ABC reg: {AA-22,AK-A7,KQ-KT,QJ-QT,JT,Ax6x-Ax2x,Kx9x-Kx8x,Qx9x,Tx9x}
Good reg:

stack size 25-35bb
laggy: 100%
ABC reg:{AA-22,AK-A5,KQ-K9,QJ-QT,JT,T9,Ax4x-Ax2x,Kx8x-Kx7x,Qx9x,Jx9x,9x8x,8x7x,7x6x}
Good reg:

stack size 35-50bb
laggy: 100%
ABC reg: {A,KK-22,KQ-K9,QJ-QT,JT,T9,Kx8x-Kx6x,Qx9x,Jx9x,Tx8x,9x8x-9x7x,8x7x-8x6x,7x6x}
Good reg:

stack size  50+bb
laggy: 100%
ABC reg: {A,KK-22,KQ-K9,QJ-QT,JT,T9,Kx8x-Kx6x,Qx9x,Jx9x,Tx8x,9x8x-9x7x,8x7x-8x6x,7x6x}
Good reg:

can i just clarify what you mean by 'defend' in these spots? i'm taking you dont just mean calling and that it involves everything except a fold?

for example when laggy villain has 16-25bbs he's gonna be jamming most of the time.

By defense here, I'm trying to study what hands we can defend by “calling” against a min open from the btn. I'm more interested in the ranges you guys assign people when they min open the btn.

In terms of open jaming 16-25bb, i think that was a play people did more years ago then today. These days people make so called “unexploitable” shoves with the middle tier part of their range while still having a min opening range that is polarised.

ok gotcha mate.. my bad!

i briefly looked at the data you gave and assumed that it was the BB's range, therefore making the laggy guy with 16-25bb a 'reshove' not an open shove

now that i look closely its pretty obvious that the laggy guy is not defending his BB with 100% of hands when he has 25-35bbs and so on..

Anyways i'll have a look and post some thoughts on the ranges soon if i can

Can I just say, you dont **** around. This is some in depth pre planning. haha

What stakes are we talking about here?

Why are we talking about defending vs a BTN min raise here by calling instead of talking about 3betting since we are talking about post ante? Is this a strategy I am unaware of?

BTN opening range Karl, not BB defending range.

As for stakes, Im interetsted in mid-highstakes for scoops.
