I actually share the same problem, so I´m going to jump in your bandwagon for a response.

Myself, I attribute it to the fact that when I go deep, I do not capitalize on it and still end up “min-cashing” never getting to those top 3 spots that pay really well at least in Pokerstars.

I´m finding it´s lack of discipline and knowledge of how to play a big stack in late game. Trying to work on it. But still, advice will be welcomed.
