Hello TPE-pros and members!

So PS have totally revamped their SnGs, new structures, some new limits and changes to what they rake.

For more info read: …../sitandgo/

Since i know many of us are grinding SnGs to lower variance and to build a bankroll, i though it would be interesting to see what you guys think about the changes.

they took away the $4.40 180 SnGs and replaced them with $3.38 …WTF? blinds increase every 6mins now so basically the 'regular' SnG tourneys are now ALL turbos …WTF?

… suffice to say im not happy about the changes, was killing the $4.40 180 recently since black friday cry

There are more blind levels now, so it shouldn´t be such a dramatic change atleast not in the early levels.

But i agree with you on that the later stages will turn into a luckfest considering the short blind levels, or atleast the turbos. Hopefully stars won´t be totally ignorant and add some extra levels in the later stages so that the jumps won´t turn everyone into shorties

So for turboes we reach the 25th blind level 13mins faster than with the old structure, i think this prove that stars needs to add a couple of more blind levels after the 25/125/250 limit.

Its just horrible.

The average 180 regular speed SnG is now playing 2.5 – 3 hrs. The old structure averaged around 4hrs. Making it closer to the old turbo structure than the old regular structure.

For them to say 'the tournaments will last a similar amount of time overall' is nonsense. compare the table you posted and look at the 60 minute mark. The difference is almost double, and it gets worse as the tourney goes on. At 72 mins the new turbo structure is at 2500/5000 the old structure was at 1000/2000.

Yes theres slightly more play early on but its in the latter stages is where the good players have the biggest edge. For me this change results in shorter stacks and higher variance at the time where my game comes into its own – late game.

Letter of complaint is being formulated….

It looks like all the Sit and Go games will be less profitable because of the changes to the blind structures. I suppose PS are trying to recoup some of the money they lost from banning the American players.

Stars have gone back to the old structures in the 180-mans which i really, really like. They´ve said in the 2+2 thread that they will address all complaints by the end of wedensday including those referring to the rake changes!

The buy-ins are still the same bad ones, 1.15, 3.32 etc.

What bothers me about all of this is that they do what is in their best interest to increase volume and profit without considering the customer.

its so crazy to me, i would like to know how they come up with there structures would really love to be a fly on the wall in these meetings would highly doubt that there is ever consideration taken for the players, like how hard is it to put out a structure survey. what has been of late a tough racket to make money on (sitngos) has gotten tougher

…..a-1033408/

thread has exploded, but post 948 from pokerstars steve is the crux of it all.

although their changes were unpopular, i am impressed that they have taken the suggestions on board and seem to be implementing the most popular ones.

Great news everyone, all buy-ins >$5 have been rounded up to 0.91c+0.09c($1) and $3.19+0.31c($3.50) for turbo 45-mans and to $2.50 for 180-mans. For you Goliath the $4.40 180-mans have become 4.10+.40.

Old structures are back as well, with a small change for the 45-mans; they´ve added a 150/300/25 level, not sure if this applies to the 180-mans.

Steve also said that similar changes will be made to the higher buy-ins.
