Final table of my local pub league game tonight, I was about 4th in chips with 6 players remaining (about 62k at start of hand) blinds are 4k 8k + 1k ante and the hero gets dealt 44 UTG

Hero makes it 20k to go and gets folded round to the villan in the hijack seat (with about 68k in chips) who calls and the button, small blind and big blind fold (pot is now 58k)

Flop comes out Kheart3clubJdiamond.

Hero checks

Villan shoves.

action on the hero…

couple of quick points worth making. Although I don't play in the league very often, I have an extremely TAG image, and the last time I played, I won. The villain, who I have a history with, has an extremely loose aggressive playing style, although he had been playing TAG in the 15-20 hands that I had been sat at the same table as him for, and had been steadily bleeding chips since the first break when he was the overwhelming chip leader.

you're probably right, but I did think of another point I should make. I thought maybe I had something of a read on him.

He was trying to stare me down like he was confident, and he was drinking and joking like he had nothing to worry about, and it just reaked of false bravado to me, I'm not sure why.

as played the flop is pretty meh as its a .8ish SPR, i jam to fold try fold out 55-99.

I think doing anything other than shoving or folding preflop is pretty meh at this stack size (especially considering we are a bigger stack) if we open here we can never ever ever fold really

Wager all of your chips before the first 3 cards come out of the deck. Don't think we really need to talk about as played since we should be in this spot something like 0.00% of the time.
