Hopefully some of you PLO wizards can help me out on this one. Was playing a live NLHE/PLO split MTT, and we are down to 9 players. We have been at 9 for a while and stacks are getting pretty shallow. We are currently playing pot limit omaha 4000/8000 blinds, with the game changing to 5k/10k no limit holdem in about 10 mins or so. Average stack is only 160k so 20bb deep, I have about 129k to start the hand.
Folds to me in MP, I have KKJ3 and raise to 16k. All fold to the BB who seems to be a tough omaha player. He flats 16k. Definitely not someone who I wanted to see in the hand with me. He started the hand with around 250k. there are 3 shorter stacks at the table than mine.
Flop (36k) 368
BB checks, Hero bets 25k, BB raises to 75k, Hero ???
I had been playing the PLO on the tight side to avoid situations like this, but with stacks so short I felt I need to make some opens to keep my stack competitive. 9th paid $465 and 1st was just under $4000. Thoughts on preflop and flop are appreciated.
