Hey guys, i find that im having alot of trouble with middle pairs when i have between 18-35BB. Im never sure if im set mining and then if i miss the flop am i losing value by just folding to Cbets where there is over cards.

…..66DB2E80E8

Thats an example there, where i just pre. Is this fold correct, or just too weak. Only had 10 hands on villan so no reads.

Would love to know how you play these cards?

Thanks smile

33bb deep, on the button with one min raise from the CO … no way I am ever folding that there.  At there very least, I'm calling. Maybe raising, depending on the villain.

The fold is weak.  Like Jack said, you're only risking 6% of your stack to call here.  The raiser is in the CO, so in general his range should be pretty wide.  If the board isn't too scary, you should call a c-bet and see what he does on the turn.

If you are calling only to set mine, you should fold.  A good rule of thumb is to make sure you and the opponent both have Ms of 15+ for set mining.

3b/f or 3b/c if villain is aggro/spewy.

The opener is only 22bb deep opening from the cutoff. I could go with 3b/call or just folding like you did depending on different factors. With no reads it's tough to say for sure. Don't love 3b/f since we will probably be getting a decent price to call a shove but would be interested to hear thoughts on this.
