Hi Guys. I think I know the answer to this, but I thought I'd ask the question as it comes up quite a bit in the tourneys I play. This is from a $4.40 Progressive SuperKO on Stars. The SB (Ganzalgsam) is all in and sitting out so is auto folding. Salado666 is an eastern european (Russian/ukrainian etc) playing 45/25 over 44 hands and has recently shown down some crazy hands, getting there each time. My question is, we have 92bbs at the start of this hand. should we be folding and looking for a better spot, or do we get in in knowing that its unlikely we're crushed and at worst we're flipping? Getting it in seems pretty high varience, but I think we're ahead more often than we're behind, and most of the time we're behind we're flipping.

Blinds 150/300 Ante 40

salado666: raises 44909 to 46109 and is all-in

Is Villain shoving every hand he plays? Just because he’s 45/25 doesn’t mean that you’ll be crushing his range for jamming 100BB over an EP raise. I’d call against a guy who was actually shoving 22% of the deck, but without a good read it’s a fold.

yeah, i wouldnt even declare it too high variance; rather, too negative EV without some solid statistics. plus, you have a fine stack that you can utilize later on. i'd just pretend i never saw ATo and fold.
