This hand is like the second or third orbit of the tournament, so obviously really early. No real reads on the villian. He's been playing 27/21 over the first 20 hands in this tournament. He was in one other pot where he bet closer to 3/4 pot c-bet flop and turn. The guy UTG that limped has limped 45% of hands in my 40 hand sample on him. But overall, I'm not sure I like my call pre. I'm not sure I like my min 3bet, its something I've just recently started experimenting with. I think I'm fine with the play later in the tournament, but I'm pretty new to tournaments so maybe I'm completely wrong.
However, early in the tournament, knowing he c-bet 3/4 pot flop and turn in an earlier hand, and in this hand he's c-betting 1/2 pot; I kinda put in on exactly AK. What do you guys think????

Pre make it 150 to isolate the limper. When you get raised from the villain I just fold pre. No reason to play a big pot OOP with a hand that is more than likely dominated 100% of the time and you need to smash the flop. As played though I prefer a check/call on the flop and then check/jam any card on the turn to put him to the test with his overpair.

This early in the tourney I think I'm probably just limping behind preflop and hoping to catch a cheap flop. If I were to raise like you did, I'm just folding to the button raise, considering I'm OOP and QJ is a pretty weak holding. The way you played this hand, is pretty high variance, and you're almost always behind his range here this early. Being that there's no antes yet, I doubt he's making a move on you. I also think that if you're gonna go ahead and call his shove, you may as well just shove all in over the top of his flop bet, and make it harder on him to call rather than having to make a tough call yourself and pray for a flush.

that early in the tournament i wouldn't isolate this type of hand in early position. i rather like limping behind and try to see a cheap flop and hope to flop the world.
as played i would fold to the BTN 3bet because if u call u are playing a relatively big pot OOP in the early tournament stage, and your hand is so often dominated by hands like AQ or AJ or overpairs and so even if u hit like top pair on the flop u can never be sure to have the best hand.
