Hi all.
Recently I got to talking about poker with a friend of mine and I told him I am again playing some more online on Pokerstars. He told me he also played online, which I didn't know, but on a site called PKR. Apparently it's more 'real-life like' and good fun.
I checked it out so we could play together sometimes and it does seem nice at first glance. However, when I tried a few hands on the practice tables I found the action very slow.
Does anyone here have any experience with PKR? Is it always so slow, or do I just have a bad experiences? And are the games overall easier or more difficult compared to pokerstars? If they're easier to beat the slowdown might be worth it.
I'm not very good myself and generally just single-tabling in order to learn and keep an eye on my opponents and the tables to make the right decisions. I feel this might be important, since I can't see anyone doing even 4 tables at once on PKR…
Any input is appreciated 🙂
I like PKR if I feel like a change of pace and scenery. But it’ll never be a serious site.
The field will mostly be soft with the occasional stalwart reg. But anyone who was a serious player would be elsewhere.
If you feel like a slow paced learning experience, PKR will offer plenty. But beyond that you’ll eventually have to migrate.
