Played this on during day 1A of the Parx big stax 300. Villain had moved to the table about 30 minutes prior to this hand and had been very quiet during those 30 min. Blinds are 400/800 75ante I believe. I have about 45k and villain has about 55k.

Utg limps, Villain is MP and raises to 2k. I flat on the button with QJhh and BB and utg also call.

Flop comes 10 10 8cc and checks through. Turn is the 9 of spades. BINGO. Checks to me and I bet 4.5k. Folds to MP who raises to 9.8k.

At this point, alarm bells go off in my head because I try to think of a range for checking back the flop and then check raising the turn. I feel like villains range is mostly Full Houses and maybe some flush draws. I cant imagine he ever plays over pairs this way so I decide to call and then call most reasonable bets on any non club river.

River is a 4d and he leads into me for 21k. Thoughts?

Are you calling 21k on the river though?

do you think he ever has AT or KT here?

i think its pretty important, becasue it adds a lot of combos you beat. i do agree that 88 and probably even more likely 99, but there isnt exactly many combos of those

such a tough spot, and i agree it looks like mostly full houses, but its so hard to have a full house

I agree w/ all the beasts.  I would call to rive

This is a $300 and there are a bunch of moh-moh's are Parx……….  Mostly depends on your read of the player.  Wish I knew who it was, lol.

Pretty sure it was a random. I thought this was a really tough spot. His bet on the river was just a little too big to think he values with A10 or K10. He can’t expect to get called by worse ever. So I ended up folding and showed my QJ face up. He in turn flipped his QJ face up lol. I think my fold is fine and I actually hate his river bet with QJ. He is very rarely getting called by worse. Unless of course he completely soul read me and knew I had exactly QJ.

seems like a typical recreational player overvaluing the strength of their hand and not looking at it relative terms.
