Hey, I don't have a specific hand history for this but this has happened alot to me lately and not sure if I should be folding or calling, or playing it different. But in general, say you have JJ with about 30-40 bb, you open raise and get flatted by the SB or BB. The flop comes all spades 9 high and you don't have the J of spades. Villain checks, you bet, and villian shoves for more than your stack. Should you call in this situation assuming he has like AQ with the A of spades? Should you check the flop and bet a non spade turn? I've been calling in these situations and losing to the flush alot lately. Any thoughts are appreciated. What if our stacks are Deeper? What if our stacks are shallower?
Thanks

The deeper your stack the more you'd lean closer to folding instead of calling in general.
And the tighter the villain the more you lean toward a fold as it's more likely they have sets, 2 pair, and baby flushes instead of something goofy like a single pair plus a better spade than you.
I'd never check the flop in the spot you gave. I'd rather make them pay to get there than give it away for free.
