hey

We are near the FT bubble.

reads – Initial raiser has been active has fold to my shove before,  no reads on the flat caller.

Otf v bet quite big , i’m not to sure if we are ahead or behind here, given that v is a loose player and plays a lot of hands pre i reckon we could be up against hands like Q-J, J-T, K-Q, K-J and maybe J-8, K-8. i dont like calling flop as there’s a lot of turns we are not going to like. Of course sometimes v is going to check turn , but for the most part i reckon we should get our money in otf. If v has a hand like J-8 , K-8,  they’ll probably call a c/s where as if hero just calls v flop bet we both likely wont get any money in on future streets as the board is likely to change drastically. thoughts please?

cheers. 🙂

prob ripping pre with an aggro opener and a capped flatter. lots of dead money in the pool.

post: pio would most likely tell you to c/cr gii flop vs small sizing.

prob c/c and evaluate turn.

it’s hard to c/c in this spot though , as we are investing a big chunk of our stack. we will have no idea what we are going to do on turns that are higher then the 8, which is likely to be the case.

i forgot to add that squeezing pre won’t be a bad idea at all, think it would be EV+

Just asking for clarification. You’re 8-handed so are there 15 players left? I wouldn’t have thought that to mean nearing the FT bubble, but I’ve never really thought about it before.

You have an ace blocker so V is less likely to be betting ace high. There was another thread that I need to reread about calling a minraise out of the BB with a short stack. Why not bet/fold?

yeah we are nearing the FT bubble , thanks for the clarification joel 🙂

what do we gain by b/f OTF? , thats like saying bet to find out where your at.

Wouldn’t you not want to b/f with a range which fits into your c/f range? rather then betting a hand which can go into your c/c range? our hand has STD thats for sure. If we bet v is going to fold all their hands which we do well against.
