Hi guys,
One of the things I'm curious about being in a position where I will start playing more or less full time, is if there are any good practices or experience with playing schedules. What I mean is if it is beneficial to for instance set up a weekly schedule of specific tourneys you want to play, make a time plan for when to watch vids/post on forums, and whether or not it's a good idea to say that on certain days of the week you'll only play sng steps or quals etc.
Any thoughts on this?

Good bump and the pros should be in here to answer soon.
I am not a pro obviously, but I do know enough of that my guess is that it's a no brainer to keep a somewhat consistent schedule just for your own sanity. Having a routine is important in a job where you have no boss telling you what to do because the urge to cut corners and skip prep work is too strong.
I'd even suggest reaching out to a couple of your fellow TPE members and working out common times to do HH reviews together so that you are now introducing the element of responsibility to someone else which will force you to adhere more closely to a schedule.
let me start by linking a great article by one of the new additions to the team, Cougars444, about his top ten high-value tournaments.
this is a tough question to answer for a few reasons. mainly because i don't know what stakes you play.
but generally, any serious player should be constantly reviewing their schedule. the MTT economy is constantly changing. sites add new tournaments, people go broke, new regs hit the scene, stuff like FTOPS/miniFTOPS, WCOOP/SCOOP, as well as live tournament series are just a few things that have an effect on where the best value is to be had when playing online.
also, the answer depends on what you wish to accomplish with MTTs. there are people who don't mind high variance and want big scores who will play a vastly different schedule than someone who wants to really grind and keep variance manageable.
some good tools are to track field sizes, see who's playing what, and just never stop talking about it with your poker friends–what you're all playing and why, what else is out there, etc.
for me i really like to be organized i keep logs of my sessions and pay close attention to tourneys ive cashed or final tabled in the past. as you gather more knowledge of the games available in your buyin range across the online poker world and find the structures you like best you will be able to fill and make a schedule based around what works best for you. my suggestion is to play on as many sites as you can and this will help you formulate a sked. maybe you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone and just play 1 or 2 tourneys at 1 time and watch some vids at the same time at the early levels when the play is more standard and post right after you play while poker is fresh in your brain
