Team..with the USA of the the picture now for Stars and Tilt…does that mean the peak times have changed? Not that i knew what they were before but what is the optimal hours of operations for MTT's? I'm alos assuming that the more players the better but open to people who think other wise

A lot of Stars and FullTilt main schedules are now on European time so from 1700 – 0000. There are however some juicy ones before and after those times.

Lock ect I think are still primarily focused on North American times.

When you say 1700-0000 what timezone is that?

Bigger not always better as smaller fields reduce variance.

I agree about the smaller fields reducing variance, as a newb i am focussed on finding these types of tournaments and i am also looking to open accounts with many more smaller sites. i hope the USA sorts out the issue of online poker sooner rather than later but it will also make the competition much harder for players like me when that happens – bring it on

good luck at the tables

Im confused on the smaller field thing. Yeah, it reduces variance, but I wouldnt want to be in a small field vs all of the best high stakes players because you will have a solidly downward graph (less upward variance).

I think it is best to play small fields vs weaker players at the lower stakes (less downward variance) and then take shots with those profits in the bigger fields vs weaker players (more general variance, but a slightly better chance of upward variance).

Never play games like the Sunday 500 (I think that’s what it’s called) with bigger fields vs stronger players (suicide).
