Quick thoughts:

Duhamel playing a solid 3bet game.

Cheong playing really well for the most part.

Candio playing bigger pots making overshoves, etc to make up for lack of skill compared to rest.

Senti playing ABC.

Dolan and Racener have been mostly card dead?

Mizrachi's bet sizing is so weird but hey it works for him.

Cheong played phenomial until that blowup. I understand the leveling that goes on but was that really necessary to throw in a 6 bet jam with such a marginal hand with a ton of money on the line with Racener only having 15% of the chips on the table? I think the move would maybe work better for Duhamel with Cheong's image if he had what Cheong was holding since Cheong has a better shot to be light but not this way around.

Some crazy hands will make for some good TV.

Go Canada…

Quebec is still part of Canada right?

Duhamel has been very lucky to get where he is but has made some good plays. Racener is very good though and if anyone can pull it off at a 6-1 disadvantage it's him. One double up for Racener and it could be a long hu match.

They reported that the A7o vs. QQ was the biggest pot in world series history.  So… was it also the biggest blow up in WSOP history as well?  Especially seeing what great control he had over the table.  Feel like Cheong would have destroyed Duhamel HU even if JD had a 3/2 chip lead.

It's easy for all of us to question his decision, but he did just play for 14 hours on the most stressful stage in poker.  I'm surprised more people don't make more mistakes.  The jump from 3rd to 2nd was big, big enough for anyone to want to nit up and wait for Racener to bust.

Duhamel's bet sizing was perfect on his 5bet.  Gave enough rope for Cheong to hang himself.

Grinders Q8o hand was played well by Duhamel as well.  Perfect sport to slow play a hand vs. a feel player.  The action happened so fast I didn't see how the betting went, but I think maybe Grinder could have got away from his hand somehow.  I could be wrong I don't know how the action on the hand went, but I feel like Q8 was a spew seeing he's only betting a bluff/getting called by better.

Short HU. I would love to see what cards Racener got dealt during it because he was super tight.

Yeah it seemed like Racener was card dead, but when you're getting pounded like that you've gotta take a stand. I think he should have been more agg when he had 30-35 mil instead of waiting until he was so short. At a 6-1 chip underdog you have to gamble to get back in it.

Never got to see it live here…Shaw Cable sucks **** they are showing it tonight in Canada.

I guess his best hand was QQ with only a few aces mixed in with low kickers.  Still though, you gotta take a stand.  Easy to say for me while sitting behind my computer though…

He probably didn't like open shoving when he had 25-30 million chips but a lot of hands could of been very profitable by the nash chart calculations. He also had some better fold equity at that point and eventually might of got Duhamel to call him lighter but again who knows what kind of hands he was dealt.
