You have some issues you need to sort out away from the poker table. I recommend taking some time away from poker and getting yourself a therapist. It should not be possible for poker to cause you this level of anger – if it is, there is something else that is channeling itself through your poker frustrations. Good luck.

lol Matt you can be a caustic blighter.
Possibly Frank(c?) just feels the need to reach out to his brothers and sisters here at TPE who understand his pain. I’m sure we all can empathize. What I am about to say will cause many who are familiar with my posts at TPE to choke on their cornflakes: I would, very cautiously suggest to you Frank, that the strat. section is probably not the best forum to post your woes such as this. Mental Game or Brags Beats and Variance would be better I expect.
The reason I am so cautious about pointing this out is because I am perhaps the writer of the most irrelevance in the most inappropriate forums of any TPE member in history. So it’s fairly hypocritical of me to be telling anyone else where to post. Also I’m not a mod., so you can tell me to just MMOB if you like.
I don’t know Frank you seem like a character to me! Hope to see around the forums some more, under happier circumstances.
Sorry you had a bad time there.

I have to say I disagree with Ginger who says that poker can’t tilt someone to that level of anger. It certainly used to tilt me that hard.
Then again, I already had 100 therapists, so on second thoughts maybe he’s right.
I have to be careful here, because Ginger told me off the other day because I made a post way unrelated to poker strategy in the strategy forum (which I understand…I was wondering how long it was going to take for a TPE staff member to tell me to shut the hell up already), but I will give you two tips:
1) As I understand things you are free to vent all you like in the Brags Beats and Variance forum. I’m not too sure about the etiquette of swearing in the forums, I’ve done it, and we are grizzled poker players after all and not choir boys, but I guess it might offend some folk. A lot of people read the TPE MTT strategy forum, probably not so many read the Brags/ Beats forum, so probably best to vent fully over yonder. Hey! I’m not a mod., so I’m not telling you what to do…just some friendly advice from a forum reg..
2) Do you have a video games console or high spec. gaming PC? If not, and if and when you can afford it, as someone who is also prone to uncontrollable tilt rage, I thoroughly recommend buying one, and purchasing a solid first person shooter game. I currently recommend Battlefield 1 or Titanfall 2. Stay the hell away from Call Of Duty this year.
When you next take a maddening beat, take some deep breaths. Fire up the console. Load the FPS game. Pick up the heaviest LMG Auto you can handle. And go full on John Rambo and let that rage fly in a hail of 5.56mm bullets brother!
I swear it is the greatest stress reliever.
Another good game for this purpose is Grand Theft Auto 5. This is particularly pleasing to me after a brutal session of suckouts, because you can take your rage out with the LSAT and grenade launcher on the entirely innocent virtual citizens of Los Santos. Even their pets. Calms me down delightfully very quickly.
(Sorry you lost your job btw. That sucks).

“I think im a bit old for video games like that. Im 47″
Now you are displaying a perspective which will ensure you soon do in fact become an out-of-touch oldie.
I feel the TPE strategy forum is not the place to go in to depth about video games and systems, but I will just say this: if you are not already owning a video games system, be it PC or console, you are in imminent danger of becoming an anachronism. The video games industry is already twice the size of the movie industry, in financial terms. Interactive movies are probably only one generation away. People who relax by (only)watching a movie will very soon be considered terribly old fashioned. Video games are for all ages now, in fact they are mainly for adults. Long gone is the era when kids were the industry’s main targeted demographic.
Oh, and I’m 41 btw.
Just YouTube some Battlefield 1 gameplay and see what you think. Or better idea still… YouTube GTA 5 axe murder spree, and imagine the satisfaction you’d get after a brutal series of bad beats! Better than any therapy.

I didn’t say it can’t tilt someone to that level, I said it shouldn’t, and I stand by that. If anything – and I mean anything – gets you angry enough to where you’re posting on a forum in all caps, you have anger management issues that you need to sort out with a therapist. That goes for inside poker and out.
