This on the bubble of the $215 Sunday 60k on merge. 37 players left, 36 paid. i had looked up everybody on OPR when i was moved a couple of orbits ago. villian has good stats and is top 200 ranked on merge. with that i mind i thought he could be shoving light here thinking the min cash would mean more to me and with his stack can we ever fold in this spot?

I would be opening that hand to call off. Villain is capable and I think it would be a mistake to level yourself into thinking he may jam with little FE because he knows we know…

If it's a really nitty table then I am fine with opening there to fold to a 3bet, but otherwise I think you have to either open to call, jam or fold.

I think iwth the big stack in SB and decent stack in BB it is less likely he is jamming light, As played I am folding if it is important for you to cash or final tablebut if you are playing FTW call., but I prefer a Jam or a fold pre, because if you get 3 bet by SB or BB then what?

I dont think that jaming is a good play here. It's actually the worst option for me. If SB or BB shoves on me, I am folding. If somebody just 3bets me, I am probably going all-in – depends on sizing of his 3bet. Why would I shove all-in here? Just because the bubble? 20BB is still good stack to play after bubble is over. So if I want to put my chips in, I will give them opportunity to shove on me with weeker hands. With jamming, you only get action from better hands.

I actually think jamming is fine here, maybe that’s a leak but I do. You don’t get called by much worse but you don’t always have to. There are times where you could flip up your hand, still shove, and it be +EV, ie it is unexploitable. I have a feeling this might be one of those spots
