In live play does the board pair up 50% of the time?? I have noticed, only on full tilt, and only online, that the board will pair 50% of the time. This seems like its alot. I dont play omaha live at all, so I have nothing to compare it to. I google search around and couldn't find anything.
And when I mean 50% I mean in multiple Omaha and Omaha hi/lo MTT's I have reviewed every hand of the tables I was on.

why would the board pair up more in omaha than in holdem?
i think your stats are weird
Thats why I am posting this question. And I do agree, Benny these stats are very weird. Just something I've noticed.
I urge you or anyone to check it out for yourself, maybe I am seeing some messed up numbers, but i just did this agian in the mini ftop over 250 hands, right at 50%.

250 hands is an extremely small sample.
i should sit down and do some maths, but i would guess that maybe 1/3 of boards would pair up if you get to the river in general. thats just a guess but i certainly dont think its 1/2.
of course there is a lot of variance in that, so even after 1000 hands you could certainly have 500 paired boards. this might be what you are seeing
if we are talking about pre-flop, with all five cards to come, I believe the chance that the board pairs by the river is close to 50%, so you're dead on with those stats.
If you're talking about from a non-paired flop to the river resulting in a paired board, it's around 1/3rd of the time.
Edit: this is rough math based on game theory and card removal, etc. Might not be the most perfect math but I'm assuming it's close if it isn't exact.

thanks for that wein.
it might be something that you never realised before, as i hadn't. i dont really think its different in omaha than in holdem

It's not different in omaha than in hold em. There is no difference when it comes to the math behind 52 cards. The same amount of cards are being removed in each situation.
