Sorry to cross post, but looks like the live thread doesn't get a load of eyeballs.  Posted day summary from yesterday's event 11 at DE Park at …..02/#p32946 if you want history, but followed that with asking the following:

So other spot that happened a little before my 88 vs A2.  This was still the 800-1600 level and I was barely under 32K.  An old guy who had been short for a few orbits and had only shoved once opens to 5800.  I look down at AKo and ask the dealer what the raise was.  The guy perks up a little and I ask him how much he has left.  He quickly counted his stack and something in the way he responded just sounded like he was overly excited to say he had another 10.6K.  Maybe I gave him too much credit or tried to read too much into his response, but I read that as him having KK/AA, so thought my best case would be that he had QQ and racing but more likely would be up against KK/AA.

I didn't want to pray for a flip but likely lose half my stack and be under 10bbs with the blinds about to go up in a few minutes.  Is that too nitty?  I didn't have too much history with the guy as he was moved to our table like 3 orbits before that, and had only limp folded a bunch and opened maybe twice without getting to a showdown.  Given the stack sizes should I not be folding this due to a perceived live read?

Yeah I'm never folding this especially since you didn't have much of a read on the guy since he was new to the table.  The only way I ever fold this is if I see villain make some huge laydowns and show how nitty he really is. Get it and try to build your stack up.  20 bb's is not where you want to be ideally for tournament play.

Im folding this unless I feel the table is super tough and I need to take this marginal spot.  I dont see him doing this at all with AQ or worse just pairs and AK.

FWIW I was in a similar situation at the borgata 30K Guar friday tourney 2 weeks ago or so and decided to shove after the guy had opened 4-5x like here and was all happy when I talked to him.  he had Aces.  he was in EP and I was shorter though.   you didn't  mention  table position here was he in EP or LP?

I don't recall the position of that hand.  I think we were 8 handed at that point and he was UTG+2.  I can recall that I was 4 positions following him and I don't think I was in a blind.

Limp folding a bunch and then a 4x raise he ready to get his chips in here, IMO and it is probably correct to assume he  has KK/AA in this spot especially in EP… Did any other of his limped hands have any pairs go to showdown? I say fold here (uggggghh) and wait for another spot!

Ahhh! The joy of live poker, tells are worn on their sleeve! Ofcourse if he has been card dead in his eyes and lmping small connecters and looked down and saw AQ and thought OK HER IT IS! But its unlikely he is doing this here, IMO
