Nearing Money bubble in $11 1r1a on stars. 88 4bet pot pre flop, interesting spot.

Is a call here correct knowing full well he has a monster and im behind but getting his last 30bbs if i hit? or do i just fold the 2 outter.

Original rasier been opening a fair bit, and the 4 better tight as nizzles.

Good hand for some discussion either way. Cant see me folding with implied odds and the likes.

Yeah seems fine to call and look for the 8. 4:1 knowing if you hit your set you are stacking him most likely and for 30 bbs. Awful sizing by him oop. What was your plan 3 betting 88 in the first place btw? Were you 3bet-inducing yugioh and snapping a 4 bet jam? J/w.

Against this opponent my plan was to 3bet call. not liking it a whole bunch but i dont wanna just set mine against 30bb satck. Overall i was just trying to take control of the pot and try and chip up on the bubble, so cards a pretty irrelevant when i 3 bet there.

Whats your thoughts on just flatting here against his 30 bb stack? i like putting pressure on these kind of stacks to make decisions for there tourney life.

I think i prefer the 3bet pre also – if you are close to the bubble and OR had been pretty active i def like the spot

As stated awful sizing OOP from the 4bettor so just call and stack his ass! if we miss we still have a sweet stack.
