Total unknown villain, first hand at a new table. Better line? Better flop/turn size?

Don’t know that it could be played better readless. Like the sizing on both streets.

Checking turn also seems ok since it allows villain to bluff IP. Not sure we get 3 streets from anything aside from Qx which we're sorta repping by betting again.

i like betting big on flop as he calls with most of his draws no matter what sizing we have and he has draws and combo draws a lot in his range.

turn i prefer a check. this allows him to take a free card and hit his draw or allows him to bluff.

if he checks back turn i like to shove any river.

I was thinking this too, but I think Gareth's line is best against loose-passive players. If they're going to call or take a free card with a draw, we'd rather they called. Against more aggro players, it's better to give them room to bluff. I'm not 100% sure what to expect from an unknown in a $50 multientry, maybe check his location, but I think I'd err towards optimizing vs loose/passive.

I don't see what you can learn from this hand.. Isin't this just a simple 3 streets of value? And also Gareth have you ditched Zoom poker and gone back to MTTs? Haven't seen you post a video on CR for a while now.

Lots to learn. Just trying to look at an “easy” spot and see if there is room for improvement.

I'm still playing Zoom everyday. If you want to let the powers that be at CR know you'd like to see more of my stuff I won't stop you ;).

I know this is a complete tangent to this thread but im sure myself and many others there would like to see more contnet. I love your anlytical approch to the game and the way you explain reasoning behind your plays.

Good call on the location check and letting it help to decide the line to take. I miss being on sites where all 8 villains don't always say “United States”.
