Hi everyone.

Im a poker player from Turkey who really try to learn poker.

Im grinding 180 Man Turbo SNGs for learning pre-flop decisions and push/fold/call ranges.

I try to make my own calling ranges. But i have a problem.

When i write my push range to SNG Wizard.( MP / 15 BB /  8.3% / TT+ ATs+ AJo+ KTs+ KQo QJs) its look like ( MP / 15 BB /  8.3% / 66+ AJo+ ATs+) . Because of their hand range systems different. So how can i calculate calling ranges in SNG Wizard or other programs? ( Sorry for my English )

i dont know how to use sng wizard, but it might be that it's 8.3% is different by default than your 8.3%. The program decides this is the optimal shoving for x% (I suppose I dont know if that's what it believes to be optimal) and the variable you put in is x% and not this hand combo and that hand combo. in order to get around this, you should get an equity calculator like pokerstove or equilab. it'll require doing the work yourself, but if you put in the hands you want, you can then guess what the correct calling range would be. take individual hands and go through them one by one. you can see which hands bring the equity down and which bring it up.

Yeah, Jacob is right. There's no single right or wrong way to determine what the top 8.3% of hands are.

I recommend using ICMIZER – …..cmizer.com – to do these calculations. It's not as good for multiple scenarios or default ranges as SNGWiz is, but it's much better at helping you take a specific hand and calculate exactly which hands you should shove based on all the villains' calling ranges. The results are far more detailed.

Yep like others have said there is debates over what is considered the best, although not so much when it comes down to purely shove and calling.

Ginger's adive is good in that ICMizer is a good tool, but for 98% of hands you will face in MTTs, there isnt really any ICM considerations.  And most calling situations can be calcualted fairly accurately in a free program like Poker Stove.  Sure it gets tricker with people behind, but its a good place to start, and I wouldnt advice paying for a hand anlysis tool like ICMizer or SNG wizard until you are moderately skilled.  I think  still being fresh to poker and trying to apply concepts like that can get you into trouble.

But if its still something you want to learn, there aree a lot of videos on youtube showing how to analyze a hand from start to finish.

I  have a video series that shows some hand anlaysis with ICMizer
