i think i missed 3 bet shove here, even though the villian actually has a a hand in this spot. i think the correct play would be shoving instead of flatting or raising 2-3x

i would be pretty wary of someone opening with a 10bb stack instead of just shoving.

I see exactly what you mean. He wouldnt risk betting that at 10BB unless he actually had a hand.

Yeah, when he opens ( especially for 3x) with only 10bb total, he isn’t ever folding to a shove. So the question you need to ask yourself is – do you want to gamble 10bb of your stack against his opening range here.

Even if you ignore the fact he didn’t open shove and only 3x it, which looks like he’s not afraid of action. Your stack is only 25bb wich still gives you room to open/fold, steal and 3bet shove with good FE. if you lose it’ll be down to under 15 and only leaves you with one play – open shove (perhaps 3bet shove also).

Since your stack loses so much utility when you call and lose, I fold here. That’s ignoring his sizing/stack

Thanks appreciate the input. I felt like it was definitely the wrong play. I shouldve folded but panicked getting that short stacked and thought I could chip up with those cards. He was obviously strong and I missed the read.

Readless I try to OPR/Sharkscope the player. I fold to a winning player and shove vs a losing player/fish some times.

Fish have no clue about stack sizes and opening ranges.
