edit subject – 20bbs

Thoughts? Read on villian was that he was pretty tight and had not been opening much preflop at all. I knew this, and decided to shove anyway but as usual, my instincts were right but I shoved anyway…I also thought that with the extra flat there was more insentive to go for it and scoop a decent pot without showdown…

My apologies for not using the HH converter as I don't have the original hand at the moment. (it won't happen again) lol

3 bet shove here is read dependant but the dynamics are good for this move in this spot as you have a perfect 3 bet shove stack and villains open range is behind your hand value so glgl

Against a random with no real history or information I think this spot is great and I would take it all day long (twice on Sundays 🙂 ).  Knowing that the villain is nitty I may pause and pass out of fear that my Ace stands a good chance to be dominated.

if your read is that he's tight and not opening a lot, then i think you got impatient. he's opening a precarious stack from EP.

also, you have ~20BB and plenty of time to punish players who are opening a lot. you dont have to shove on a nit opening EP and pray for him to fold.
