Hmmm tough spot with 32 bbs effective we obv want to get this hand in pre if possible, pre is good otf i might just rejam on him i know we have zero draws and only 2 overs but with AK in a 3bet pot with the effective stack sizes i think we need to see all 5, as played i dont think just flatting the flop is bad i mean most of the time he just shutsdown but when he barrels the turn i dont think we can call and fold river….so im probably calling river as played.

I might be wrong, Will be interested to see how people play this hand laugh

I 3 bet a bit smaller because you’re in position. Somewhere around 7.5k seems good. On the flop I’d raise his donk lead to see if he wants to continue for a real amount. If he calls or raises it’s pretty obv he has an overpair so fold to a raise. If he calls you may get a free card on the turn but I’m folding to any further acton unimproved.

ok heres my take ,u face a call utg then a 3 bet ,so it depends on the history u have with these guys and what stats they have ,what have they shown down previously ,u must have obv put them as weak since u called pre ,then u call ,call ,fold the river .tbh i prolly would have folded preflop as i said a raise (min) utg then a 3 bet so i would guess some mid to high pair they had and ak is not a made hand pre,but you have to consider your actions post flop ,why call ,call then fold on the river ,i guess the q scared u ?,but just my thoughts ok and gl.smilesmilesmile

As goliath mentioned 3bet is huge and we dont have to go so big here in position. Only thing I hate is we show strength pre and then completely shut down. Calling down is not strenght, it lets agg players know u have a lil somethn but  not much. Have to keep ur story strong. Def think u must raise flop when he leads so small. In fact, with his bet, theres 30k in pot and we have just more than 35k I think this would be a good spot for shove. Its the play I would make good % of time.

As playd u have to fold turn. I mean it looks like he's tryn to trap here but we cant be sure. Reason y I thik raise on flop is important, and as mentioned by gOliath if he calls raise or shove we can be sure we're dead. Im a much more agg type player so thats y I take the shove line on flop. Dont think he's raise/flatting 3bet pre with AA, KK or QQ.

btw: dont show results when posting.

Definately 3bet smaller pre

and also as g0liath said – we need to have a go at this on the flop (raise) b/c we showed so much strength pre

think about it – if it were heads up with you and MP, you would almost certainly raise his donk lead. being 3way with a SS all in should not change your path

basically our line as played is way too passive post flop, if you raise this flop you may even make him fold 88,TT,JJ so this is probably the most optimal line

As played – i agree you cant call the turn

goliath analyzed it pretty good. i also think you definetly have to raise the donklead on the flop 99% of the time. either you take it down immediately or you get information. and if he shoves you can still fold since you still have over 20bbs.

the only time (the 1%) where i would just call the flop would be when i think or saw that this player never gives up on the flop but often lays a hand down on the turn. so when calling the flop you have to raise the turn imo
