I have been opening a lot and taking down pots with cbet. Very active.

Villain is running 30/8 over 100 hands. He is basically a break even player with a $30 ABI but had one huge 14K score getting 2nd in a $215.

tough spot, but think i'm folding.

think you're only beating a flush draw or air, and it's just too expensive.  Fold turn and preserve your stack.  if you got owned, oh well.  You still have 30 BBs and can't find better spots than this

Maybe I am playing this spot to passively/pot controllish, but

I am checking behind turn alot, with intention of calling a normal river bet, or value betting if checked to on river.

I dont think that's too bad. I think you have to either check turn call river or bet fold turn. Seems like most draws would shove flop. Snap fold turn in hindsight I guess. Sigh.

If they bluff me, they bluff me. Not the end of the world. This is a hard lesson for me to remember.

I think your hand has too much equity to bet/fold. Sometimes a fish spazzes here with TPWK and we fold the best hand. Chk/call if you think you'd ever bet/fold here.

i think id call off here because often players are spazzing with top pair worse kicker like j10 q10, he may think ur barrelling with air and he has best hand, he may have an 8 obv but its a close one im calling here sometimes unless hes real nitty

Sounds like the consensus is to check back this turn in spite of the possible draws since we are not excited about stacking off here.

Gotta learn to take my foot off the pedal.
