Are you ok with my Flop play?
What do you do on the Turn? was the check a mistake, do you call?
We don’t have trips, we have a set.
Preflop is fine. His open is idiotically sized, making me think he is a fish and has a strong hand. You actually could make your 3bet bigger, because his 3.5x open seems like it should be a hand like AK, AQ, or JJ, none of which are folding pre. Some fish will even size this way with KK or QQ.
It’s tough to know how wide his range can really be preflop without better defined reads.
The pot gets bloated really quickly, especially after you bet 2/3 pot on the flop (which I think is OK with your hand on this board, which can connect with a lot of his range…there’s a ton of value to be had still).
In my mind, this flop bet commits us to the pot anyway.
When he calls the flop he can’t have QQ or KK anymore…he can still have AK or a lower set though.
This turn card sucks a fat one, but you can’t fold, especially after putting in this many chips. You’re actually a favorite against a range of JJ, TT, AJ+, and KQ (and it's hard to imagine him showing up with KQ here, but if he's a fish, he might).

But let’s assume we know for a fact he has a king:

Hand 1: 76.278% 72.87% 03.41% 513 24.00 { AKs, KQs, AKo, KQo }
If we know for a FACT he has a king, we’re not quite priced in to call. We have to call off our last 3.2k to win about 8.1k. We’re getting about 2.5-1, and we need about 3-1. However, we can’t be 100% certain he has a king. That, combined with the number of chips we’ve already committed to the pot, make this a call IMO.

I think you are right on the money ona bigger 3bet being much better, I probably would have been able to get it in PF as huge favorite, or if he still flats, he is making a bigger mistake

on the flop,This is pretty much how I saw it. I am thinking since I felt committed that maybe a shove gets more of his range to call with worse??? any thoughts on that??
Anyway as played I did call and He showed a weirdly played KK. good game for me. I still dont see a fold though.
Thanks for the feedback.
I'll take any post results feedback as well form all.
I personally think you played it fine. 3betting bigger pre makes him fold more hands that you wanna call, so saying 3betting bigger is the way to go might be somewhat results oriented now that we know his hand and the flop texture, you wanna get value with ur big hand. Flop, I personally cbet less but agree with rivermen that with this texture your sizing is fine. Turn, I know that card blows but I love your check because it gives him a chance to bluff and rep a K even if he doesnt have it. I also call. Think you played it fine. Of course we can argue a fold as well since you would still have a decent stack behind.
