This is a hand from a $80 daily tournament in Las Vegas. 6,000 starting stacks, 20 minute blind levels but with a pretty reasonable structure for a tournament under $100. It's the second level with blinds of 50/100 no antes.
Play in this tournament tends to be pretty soft. Lots of people limp/calling early and playing weakly post flop. Pretty early to have much of a read on anyone, but I have seen V in this hand play big hands a little tricky. There was a hand where he flopped the nut flush and check called the flop and turn, but led the river big and got paid off. V has about 10k to start the hand and H has V covered.
H is in the cutoff, 3 limps to H who has KhQh and raises to 500. V calls in the BB, all limpers call. Pot is 2550.
Flop is Qd8h6c
V leads for 1200, all limpers fold, H calls. Pot is 4950.
Turn is Js
V leads for 2400.
H?
Given the info we do have on villian, I am folding after he leads again on turn. He has to have two pair or a set given his line imo. Given he donk lead flop with all those players behind him is strong and his bet sizing is value style on both streets. I think your flat on the flop is fine to try and slow him down and see what happens on turn but I also wouldnt mind just a fold on flop. Hope you folded turn though.
This is an interesting spot…Going back pre, and the way you described the players at the table, I don't know if I attempt to isolate. If you do, it may have to be larger to push people out. From what you said though, the table liked to see flops, so now by isolating with your hand you are playing a much larger pot with a decent stack size (without the nut flush ace in hand). I guess the question too is what were the stack sizes for the other villains at the table? I think I like overcalling with a hand that flops well in position and can control the pot a little better.
With the way played, I like the call from the villains lead with top pair on a rainbow board. To me I think you put a queen in his range definitely, even 99, or 77, but it is also harder for me to say set or 2 pair. Don't get me wrong, 66, or 88 is in his range, but does he lead with them multiway? I think with the way the villain played the flush hand earlier, a c/r would be more in line. With the way you played the hand again, I see myself calling turn, evaluating river. I know you don't want to not call the turn usually unless you are prepared to call river, but to me, I see his bets more as a blocker bet..not a large value bet (obviously could be wrong here..did you pick up on any sizing tells earlier in mtt). Plus if you are going to isolate with your hand and flop tpgk I think you stick with it. Now if you just overcall the limpers pre, the pot is going to be much smaller and you aren't going to be losing as much post. Did you get to sd?
I would like to hear other comments on this hand as well. Best of luck at the tables.

Oh, I'd like to say I folded the turn, cause I knew that was the right thing to do. I sat there and ticked through all the hands he might have, and new I was crushed by almost all of them, but for some reason I made the call. River paired the 6 and now V fired out a smaller 2,000 bet. I called the river as I knew I would when I decided to call the turn, and it turned out V had all the 6s.
