Thoughts on this one?  No decent stats as just started mtt. Dude raised 88 previously so figured if he has 66+ and I hit a low board hard I can stack him and we are plenty deep enough to take a shot.

Checked turn a it would look way too obv if I bet.

Figure I'm only gonna get called by a better flush on the river and have an edge in these tourneys so didn't want to play for stacks. Soz again for formatting. We gotta get this HH importer working with Lock 🙂

Sweet. Pasted directly in from PT4 without using the HH importer and it formatted it properly 🙂

Think I would just fold that preflop, given that his range is probably tight there aren't going to be many boards that you smash where he has enough to pay you off. As played I definitely raise that flop, if you are going to be flatting him so wide pre then you are going to have to take pots away from him and this is a good semi-bluff spot for you. I am never checking that turn, you have a vulnerable hand and need to bet there to get value and to protect your hand. Flatting on the river is fine, though I would probably jam there, if he has the bigger flush then gg. I think that if you are going to play small suited connectors early on here then you need to get the max value from them when you hit a hand.

Pre flop I would fold.

Flop as played.

Turn I bet…you are giving random diamond a free river card and our flush is very low.

River I usually I go for max value, but as I stated previously I would have defently bet the turn to commit him by then so my river bet would be less the pot.

Agree with most other people that preflop is a bit spewy.  Our hand really isn’t great…it’s not a ‘real’ suited connector and hitting pairs are pretty much worthless.

On the button I think it’s marginal at best, but in middle position it’s pretty suicidal IMO.  We’re inviting callers behind which would make our relative position terrible with a bad hand deepstacked.  Just a recipe for disaster.

I’d probably bet turn as well, although it looks like it worked out for the best this time.  I think you can get value out of strong hands w/re-draws like AdQx, all sets, two pair, etc.  If you’re going to play this hand, you have to try to play for stacks when you hit your flush.

Also, value betting aggressively allows us to bluff more as well, although this probably doesn’t matter too much on a Lock $15 tourney.

On river definitely just call.  I'd be thinking about folding after seeing a pot bet from the first to act AND a call…BB's bet sizing is absolutely atrocious, my goodness.  And I can't imagine what UTG called with there, either.
