According to my HUD villain was a fish. He played approx 80% of the hands (sample size of about 30 hands). I haven't seen him doing anything crazy yet.

He could hold anything & when the second 6 fell I started panicking for some reason. The river seemed quite big compaired to his turn bet, which made me call.

Any advice how to non butcher this hand the next time.

I’d bet turn. You are still beating a lot of his value range.

I tried to keep the pot small by checking the turn. What do we do when he reraises our turn bet? Fold, puke call (like I did on river)?

The 6 on the turn seems like a pretty safe card to be able to bet fold. Draws on the flop are going to typically raise as are sets since it’s a wet board. The only hands that really seem to raise the turn are 6x hands and some times people will let one roll off with T7, it’s hard for him to have a bluff there since most people are not good enough to float flop and then raise turn with air.

Yep definitely bet turn.  I think you overestimate peopls propensity to bluff turn.  If you bet you can get a lot of value from draws and single pairs.

I bet/evaluate here and am pretty happy.

As played I like callng river.  I think he has bluffs a lot and is trying to get us to fold what he percieves is a weak hand(after your turn check).  Funny enough I feel like your turn check may have resulted in more chips then my bet/bet/bt line would have(since I suspect a lot of folds on river).

I have a feeling since you are posting this that you may have los tthis hand.  So another point I want to make is that learning how to separate results from general strategy questions.  I am making assumptions here, but a good practice is to mark hands while you are playing them if you feel lost(can easily be done in HM2 and I think PT4).
