Live Vegas Tourney During WSOP
$600 Buy-In with $600K Guarantee (which they did NOT hit)
Blinds are 1500/3000/300
We just started Day 2 and have played maybe 3 orbits.
Stacks are:
Me: ~70k (~23 BB)
V1: Big Stack…100+ BB
V2: 115k (~40BB)
V-Notes:
V1: is chip leader and is a 20 something European playing most of the pots with raises if he opens and calls a lot as well.
V2: Semi-active 20 something white kid. Good Player as well
Me: Second pot I entered so far
Hand:
We got T
T
in UTG+1 and raise to 7500. Folds to V1 in MP who calls. Folds to V2 in BB who tanks and then 3 bets to 20k.
What do you think the best play is here?

Ship it. You won’t be in great shape if called, but believe it or not you have fold equity here, and you should be in OK shape (I think AK always plays this way and wouldn’t be shocked to see AQ).

Where was this tourney? I would like to know where the guarantees aren’t being hit. I can always use Shart Clock and look up $600 buy-in tournaments but this way others can find out too.

Definitely agree with getting it in here for 23bb, for the reasons Andrew explained.
Side note: I think 2.5x preflop is a little too big when you’re only 23bb deep. I’d rather go 6500 or even just a minraise here.
