Early goings in a live tournament. 10 man SNG
Read on player 1 is straight forward player, very ABC.
Read on player 2 is very loose aggressive. Although early, have already seen him 8x PFR with 22. Donk bet many flops, and could have any two and limp/call pre.

Would like feedback on each street, but also on villain’s range on the river bet.

This is only the second level. Starting stacks are 5000.
Blinds 50/100

MP-Player 1 (5000) bets 300
MP+1 – player 2 (9000) calls 300
Folds to (BTN) Hero(4000) Ah Kh raises to 775
Folds to player 1 who calls
Player 2 calls

Flop (2475) 9d 7d 3d
Check, check, check – should i have cbet here?

Turn Ad
Check, check, check-

River 7s
Check, player 2 bets 1200, hero???

i probably would have made it 1050 or so preflop, because as soon as the first player calls your 3bet, the second player is always priced in.

I am still trying to figure this game out so take this as you will……

You are playin a Sit, so every chip counts.  I have found you need to play your premiums aggressive and take a very low variance approach during the early stages.  Very ABC……..think bigdog prior to antes.  Let the other people who are here to play poker throw chips around.  As the blinds increase, start opening up your game to take down the blinds….use your push fold edge over the other players.  This also works wonders at the WSOP single table sats, especially at the 275 buy ins and below…….just saying :).

Keeping this in mind, I agree with benny….the 3bet is not big enough.  I would have made it 1200, but do not think 1050 is necessarily wrong.  In situations like this, I use 3xs bet plus the over call(s).

Flop, as played……When both players check to me, I always CBet……probably between 1200 and 1450, fold if raised.  If called, done with the hand.

Turn…as played I am done with this hand

River…..see turn……..but know that the passive play has brought about this spot.

You still have 30+ BB, plenty to continue in the game, no need to make this call with top pair on a 4d/paired board.

I'm shoving this every time with a 4k stack and 750 in the middle already.
