This is sort of strat so I figure I’ll post it here. The other day I was playing a 300+50 event at The Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa. A few hours into the tourney this happens:
I have about 20k at level t200/t400. I get AKo in MP. UTG+1 (~15k) limps throwing in 1 red (t500) chips. I raise to 1250. Folds back around to him and he throws in three more red chips without saying anything. I ask him if he intended to raise and he says no. At this point I know I can call the floor and he will rule that since the guy threw in more than half of the raise amt, he must min raise me to 2050. This would benefit me as I could then shove my AKo and almost certainly take down the pot, or get him to steam call off with worse. The guy was an older borgata reg that I recognized who should definitely know the rules. My question: Is anyone letting him get away with just calling?
