Playing down at the local pub poker, my stack is roughly 14k with blinds at 100-200

I guess you could describe villain as loose passive with roughly 10k

7 handed, villain limps in MP, hijack limps, I raise to 825 with AsKh from the cutoff, villain calls, everyone else folds

Flop 3dKd5d

Villain checks, I bet 1000, villain calls.

Turn Ks

Villain checks, I bet 3125, villain calls.

River Jh

Villain bets 5000

???? Thoughts?

dont think I'm ever folding here in Pub poker. If he has it, he has it.

thats what i thought, and why i like the turn, flop and turn are obv b/f and we dont want to size small enough to get blown off by semi bluffs.

I remember that he did have some chips left over, but wouldn’t of been many. Between 700-1000 left.

Anyways if anyone wants results ill post them. If not thanks for the advice guys 🙂

what a weird line.  I think I call, but am not particularly stoked about it.  Look forward to results…KQ is really about all we beat I guess.

I'd probably tank for a while and call. Loose passive would suggest maybe he was chasing the flush with a diamond, possible a J. So, he could have been on AdJ? Did he tank at all after your bets?

Nah he didn’t really tank for too long, maybe a couple of seconds but nothing significant.

Anyways I thought for a bit and called and he showed JT of diamonds for a flopped flush.

Did manage to recover though and enter the final table as chip leader, finishing 3rd for $115 🙂

Slow playing the flopped flush… Clearly he was confident that you play the aggressor, either that or he took an awfully large gamble with the best hand. Anyway, nice result. And clearly your pub poker nights are bigger than mine. I took down first place at the last one I played in and only got paid $130
