Hey guys.. gosh i havent posted here for so long!!

i have a spot from my weekly home game that i'd like an opinion on

$55 small field approx 20 runners

not sure of exact payouts but something like

1st 500 2nd 300 3rd 200

5 players left

blinds 1k/2k ante 1k

UTG/hijack – 22k (supertight fish)

cutoff – 53k (LAGGY fishy player overplays most hands and can 3bet fold <15bbs)

BTN – 33k (villain who is the only very capable player/threat at the table/LAGG capable online grinder)

SB –  23k (horrible tight fish)

Hero – 75k

past 3 or 4 hands have been won by myself and villain from shoving in spots and taking blinds and antes. both villain and i know each others game extremely well/online and live

hijack and c/o fold

villain opens his button to 4k and it folds to me in BB

i have a couple of questions to pose here;

this is what i thought about in game

– his range is super wide from btn

– so its a great spot to resteal

– he possibly has to fold some value hands b/c of ICM

– he can garner chips much easier by taking advantage of the tighter players than risk his tournament life with a 60/40 vs me

– the last thing i thought was – he knows all of the above

– but anyway i shoved Jheart5spade

he actually called pretty fast with Kdiamond9heart to my surprise

we talked a bit about it after the hand and neither of us was actually sure if this is a call or not from his point of view?

Is this a call for him?

Also, knowing that he can adjust – i should probably resteal tighter is this correct?

Cheers in advance guys

i like do to it with a hand that has at least some equity against his calling range, like mid pairs and suited connectors etc.

but it seems like you just got owned lol
