BI: ~100$
900 players, 6th hand, 7handed

We have ~10k, blinds are 25/50. I raise utg 150 w KK, btn who just flatted raise w AQo oop previous hand makes it 300, I 4bet to 900 (would you make it less or just flat?), he calls. Flop is Qh6h4x I cbet to 1500 or sth like that, he raises to 3k, I ship. I don't think I had Kh, but I'm not sure. I raised him 1st hand when he limped utg and he folded. He was older guy around 50 years old and I had Pokerstars t-shirt (he could maybe think I am agro-?). Is my 3bet push otf standart or bad since he didn't 3bet AQo previous hand? Would you consider just calling there and reevaluate the turn?

Most players…especially old guys are not trying
To pull off elaborate bluffs this early in the tournament.
I think I am prob just calling the flop min raise and reevaluating
Reevaluating/ trying to pot control from there on.

Sets are very likely in his range. In particular QQ

I hate the all in on the flop as you give hands that you are beating
Especially AQ…the chance to fold
And when called your “one pair” hand…even though
its an over pair is almost always crushed in this spot.

I am very rarely putting in 200 BBs with one pair

his range really looks like QQ+ here, which obv has you crushed.

i think the 4bet is ok preflop, and so is the cbet, but im not really sure you get min raised on that board with AQ, and AKhh is going to raise a lot more than min, so it is screaming QQ to me. i think you can make a tight fold after villain raises flop.

The advice is spot on here.  I really think his range is QQ+ and AKhh and we are in a good bit of trouble when called.

When I look at this hand after few weeks, it really seems he has my KK beated. Thanks for your comments…and he had AA btw. (he just called my 4bet pre by mistake – at least thats what he told me).

So you wouldn't fold or you think this is just a crying post?

Tough spot for sure. Live you see way less hands and get way less premiums so it would be really hard to fold. Dont think I am folding on that board and how played.

One key thing here is that he flatted your 4bet…you are showing no signs of folding so if he has AA, he is getting it in there. I know you said he did that on accident but there is no way to know that in real time…it does not look like AA in real time to me.

I didn’t put him on AA, he would never just flat my 4b pre if it wasn’t by mistake. But he just flatted few hands ago AQo so I can’t put him on AQ as well too often. So he has probably QQ often and sometimes AKhh or AQs.
