Villain did already once tried to 3-bet me out of hand before flop. He folded on my 4-bet.

No I chose another line to call him. Was sure he hadn’t forget previous hand, so he had to be strong.

Are the betting lines I chose before and after the flop ok, taken into account my stack? It was in the middle period of a 180 S&G. Still about 40 into the game. I’m virtual in the money at the moment.

I don't like calling his 3bet here, you are behind his value range. Shove or fold imo, depending on how wide you think he is.

I'd definitely get it in on this flop but I'd want to maximise my FE too, I think the best way is check/shoving.

I dont hate the flat pre given the history, but he is more likely to 'have it' this time, especially considering the BTN and SB stacks. Hate the donk lead into him though, I agree with running outs that check shoving is a better line.

Also, I think you should ask yourself if you are playing this hand OOP if it is unsuited? and will you proceed on an A high flop?

Yah I really don’t like your flat at all. You range the villain here as strong as his range absolutely crushes your range. I’m thinking AQ +, JJ+.

Plus calling pre flop with this holding puts you on alot of horrible post flop spots against that range. Flop comes A28 you get stacke a lot against better aces. Jack high flops overpairs.

If your stacks were deeper you could call here with the dynamic you had with hands like 67s etc. these hands you can really sneak up on and stack a tight range of strong hands when you flop well. I got a lot from Jamie k’s video series on this and another buni don’t have my notes in front of me but it’s a good concept to explore and I hope I am explaining it clearly

As played that is the best and only flop we are happy to get it in on.
