Hello,
Here is another bluff hand that I attempted, and I'm curious about the action on all three streets.
I don't have much info on the villain and I'm new to the table. I have 25 hands on him and he plays 36/17, limping 21% and 3betting 25%. I have no post flop history with him. The blinds are 125/250, antes 25, and we're playing a 10$ turbo. The villain is on the button and I'm in the CO.

Preflop: Hero is CO with 8 Q
2 folds, Hero raises to 630, BTN calls 630, 2 folds
Flop: (1,890) 7 3 7 (2 players)
When he flats preflop on the button with a 10BB stack, I really don't know what to range him on. It feels to me like anybody's guess when a player is new, whether they are doing this too often, with a wide range or whether they're anywhere along the spectrum to doing this very narrowly. Since I figure it's obviously hard for me to hit this flop, and I was feeling uneasy about his preflop flat, I chose to try a delayed-Cbet, maybe see if the turn helped me a little, and to see what he does when I show weakness.
Hero checks, BTN checks
Turn: (1,890) 4 (2 players)
What should I make of his flop check? Well it could easily be weakness. I haven't improved, but it's easy for him to have nothing, so I go ahead and delay Cbet like I planned.
Hero bets 630, BTN calls 630
River: (3,150) 8 (2 players)
That's rough. The moment I am able to decipher that he probably has something, I pick up showdown value. I'm reminded of a recent lesson I learned here that players with short stacks don't float or call down with air that often. But I do believe he can have low pairs, both pocket and flopped. What do you guys make of my equity here? I'm at a loss as to what his range could be because I'm not sure what hands I should be choosing from at this point.
For example, is it safe to say that since the flop went check/check, I was fortunate enough to keep ace high and broadway hands in, most notably hearts that missed? I think a shove or bet would be bad here, because I'd miss out on any more value from villain's hands I just rivered, whereas a check/call wins more chips from those hands and both lines can lose the same amount to hands I'm beaten with.
A big question is: Should I consider myself having rivered significant showdown value here, or are any wins at this point complete anomalies?
Hero checks, BTN bets 1,695 and is all-in, Hero calls 1,695.
Thanks for reading.
