Would like to hear thoughts on my play here.  Specifically the shove at the end.  Would other lines be more profitable over all?  Any other thoughts welcome as well.

No reads on Villan. There are 20 people left to go in a $2.5 180 man, I'm currently sitting in 2nd. (Bubble was 27)

your not deep stacked ,  i suppose your flat call on the flop could look super strong and hes worried or he simply has no hand on that board to pay you, its possible you maybe more likely to get all his chips on that board just by shoving the flop which will look much weaker than the flat. problem with flatting flop is if he checks behind turn will be difficult to win more chips prob.

im pretty sure im folding this preflop to an UTG raiser, when you have a good stack in these you really need to work hard at preserving it, and i think flatting is pretty bad.

on the flop, i think i am raising and looking to get it in. you arent very deep so villain will be going with any top pair or overpair, so i think on a board like that which hits an utg raising range quite well, you should be going for max value.

That is really loose call preflop, you should be folding these.

However, on the flop I do like just calling his cbet and when he checks the turn I would bet 1/4 of the pot or if you checking back the turn, you should put small value river bet, but not just shove allin, just because there is not much hands that will make that call and by betting small on the river you may extract some value froms hands like Jx/TT/QQ.

Good luck!

Yea, folding pf to utg 3x with only 24bbs. Definitely raising flop. As played on the flop, I am betting the turn probably less than half his remaining stack so like 3k, or I am min betting 1k to see if I can get him to spaz. If I decide to check the turn like you did or just calls the min bet, I am value betting the river either 3k (1/3 of his remaining stack) or the exact amount he cbet 4444

fold equity

it means the higher your fold equity the less often you get called when you bluff. i MTTs such as the 180s it is crucial to have lots of FEQ qhwn we shove a wide range close to nash optimal

Just call flop. Including our blockers, not many hands can face a flop raise.

Check back turn is fine since now we know villain is weak.

Bet small on the river. When he checks twice he either has marginal showdown value or nothing. The chances of having a shove called may actually be less than 0%.

Thanks guys, this is all really helpful.  I actualy know what fold equity is, I had just never seen it expressed as FEQ before.

I'll keep posting my horrific play, you keep helping me get it better! 😀
