Hi, I played this hand recently (in a 10nl cash game, but I think the same situation could occur in a tournament)

https://www.jivaro.com/profile/ColdZer0/posts/5651a03659453e51073967d9/

UTG limps and when I make the standard raise to 0.30$ he min 3 bets to 0.50$.

At this point I assume it’s either AA, KK or maybe QQ. I decide to see a flop because the price seems right and because I think I can continue on A high boards with my ATs assuming that AK and AQ would have 3bet much bigger.

When the flop is 28A and he bets pot sized it looks like he just wants to represent AK and wants me to fold because an overcard to his QQ/KK flopped. AA seems very unlikely since I’m blocking it with AT. The flop is somewhat dry so I think if he would be betting for value he wouldn’t make it this big since there aren’t many cards he could be protecting his hand against.

The turn is a 9 and he just shoves the rest of his stack.. I’m not sure what to do at this point

Hope someone can help, the guy seemed kind of fishy, limping almost every hand, so I’m not sure if he actually had a hand or just tried to bluff really hard..

Thanks for the help!

The min-3-bet can also mean he clicked the default raise button. Have you ever seen him raise more than the minimum? Does the software have a pot-size preset button on the flop? What about all-in on the turn, although even a monkey can move a slider all the way to the right.

I think V just doesn’t have a lot of moves in his arsenal. Limp-reraise sounds like AQ+, KK, or AA, even if you do have most of those blocked.

At low stakes I look for button-clicking tells. That’s what this looks like to me.

I never saw him raise or re-raise preflop in all 48 hands I played with him (you can see his stats in the replay if you hover over the circle around his name, he had a VPIP of 38% with a 0% preflop raise and 54% postflop aggression)

The hand was played on pokerstars where most people set their own custom buttons so I’m not too sure about button-clicking tells.. I also didn’t have any information about his c-betting tendencies since he never actually raised preflop before

I wouldn’t expect an UTG L-RR’er to have many bluffs in his range on an Ace-high flop.
