from the pushbot spreadsheet, …..1zlilcyjoj

if villains all have a calling range of 11%, then you should be shoving something like 55+, AJo+, KQs, ATs+

it should be noted that 55-99, AJo, AQo, KQs, AJs, ATs are listed as marginally +EV.

so i would say that 99 the bottom of my range in this spot but i probably still  shove it

i was too, but it depends a lot on the other people's calling range, and what your relative edge on the field is. i.e shoving 99 is +EV but that spreadsheet also takes into account that you might not want to take every +EV spot but only ones that are sufficiently +EV.

i think 99 is ok to shove, especially the higher in stakes you go when your comparative edge gets less and less.

I have a love hate relationship with spreadsheets. They base everything on pure mathematics, which I love but not all opponents are mathematical. If you adjust for these types of players then 99 is a great hand.  I am sure you have experienced a call on your shove when opponents call with overcard and rag just because you are under 15 BB. Of course reads play a big part too.

I'm going to break my arm shoving this hand, maybe even both racing to the mouse button to get this in!

Ty Guys,

I figured it was a no-brainer, I did shove and ran into KK. I will usually check the math in sng wiz but for some reason Merge (Carbon) hands dont work with the software.

I wouldn't call it marginal, I think it is probably unexploitably +EV as in you can flip your hand over, then shove, and still make a profit.  Spreadsheets are meh IMO, i shove wider than all the sheets say, they usually assume people are calling too close to correct, when they aren't.  Folding here is a leak, cause you aren't picking up TT+ every orbit, so you will get mauled by the blinds, and when you finally do pick up a hand you want to shove, your expected stack after you shove there with 6-7BBs will be less than what you would expect your stack to be after a 10bb shove with 99.  You don't want to get blinded down to the point where you have to win an all in to get back to where you were, even if that all in is with aces.

Does anyone know what's classed as 'marginal' in SngWizard? I always thought (from a video I saw on another site) that anything better than an edge of 1/3 of the small blind was +cEV. I wonder if we should be looking for 1BB or more when making profitable shoves instead. Just food for thought…

Sometimes you just need to release your feelings and trust the force. LOL

From any position? What is the smallest pair you would shove with from any position, when you are in push/fold mode?
