Please forgive me if this has already been asked, I am on limited time for my lunch break and did not check the forum for a previous thread.  Is there any benefit to late registration to a MTT? Some MTTs still have registration going on with blinds at a reasonable level, in some cases 1/6 or more of the field has been knocked out.  Is there ever an advantage to registering late in any type of games?

the only time i find late reg to be an advantage is in a rebuy tourney. the initial stack plus a rebuy and a addon gives you like a 5 k start stack wich is most cases in and around 50-60 bbs at the 1 hour mark. late reg into a freeze out with 3k start stack gives you around 30 bbs to start so its more like a turbo until you can put a stack together. so with freezeouts i like to be in at the start and with rebuys it dont matter to me

i think on sundays late regging for warmup may be decent , just cause usually irun late and when i late reg i never get regs at my table for the most part, but other than that not many uses for late regging over early regging, you want to play with as many blinds as possible
