Hey guys, I just joined about a week ago or so and this is my first post in the forums. I was playing in one of the Borgata Spring Open events yesterday and came across this hand. I think I made the right decision but just wanted to get others take on it. Actually after thinking about it I may have made a mistake preflop. Either way here goes:

$75k gtd. $200 buy + re-entry

This is the last hand before the re-entry period ends and I was just moved to this table and have no reads on my opponents.

Blinds are 500/1k with 100 ante and my stack is around $24k

Im in the cutoff, MP with about 50k opens to 2200 and guy to my immediate right with 17k flats. I have AKs and make it 7k. Folds around to opener who folds and flatter to my immediate right calls.

Flop is 4 4 10. Guy to my right open shoves for 10k.

There is actually a ton of value in re-entry because the prize pool at this point is up to I believe $125k and a starting stack is still 25bb. Problem is we have the villain covered and if we lose, we are left with 7bb and no opportunity for re-entry. Thoughts?

My standard is to 3b-shove preflop and I think it looks weaker than making a 3b over 3x. You may even have the advantage of being looked up lighter because it is close to the end of the re-entry period. 3betting can be good as well if we think it will give us more action from hands we dominate. HJ's flat then flat again is very fishy and I have seen players do this with pairs they just want to see a flop with. With that said, I am not folding to a stop and go on any flop given the price we are getting.
