Ok guys

I have been busted out of a live mtt and i keep thinking about the hand that lead to my bustout.

details: 9 handed table

50 entry € 125 freezeout at local casino mostly weak loose passive players

blinds 100/200

Hero stack around 12K

Villain Stack around 15k

Hero is on button with KspadeQspade

2 limps in front of me from MP and i raise btn to 875

all fold except MP guy who flats.

Pot: pre flop 2250

Flop:  Kheart 10club 8spade

MP: checks:

Hero: betts 1250

MP: calls

Pot turn: 4750

Turn:  Kheart 10club 8spade 9spade

MP: checks

Hero bets: 3500

MP raises all in

Hero:

How do we proceed. Villain is passive postflop he has 3 bet once and came to AA on showdown.

Do we agree on betting here? and folding to a push? I also regret betting 3.5k. Id rather betted somewhat around 2.2k so i could actually fold if he shoves.

I think vs a passive player we always get it in worse here if we call in retrospect, main question:

Bet 2k ish fold turn if pushed?

check behind on turn to redraw?

Since he flatted f;lop i put him on a midpair, draw etc. If he pushhes here I presume we must be beat..

How much his stack shove is would be really handy.

Is he limp calling 88-TT?
He’s reppin QJ here but even if we put him on QJ we may have odds to call.

I’d probably be betting smaller on the turn here, really depends on his stack tho.

I think you have to call this with given stacks and bet size on turn. You are calling your remaining 6.3k to win around 18k and if you are putting him on QJ specifically you have enough odds to call. If you add 88-TT and some 2pr combos you have more equity.

Question is would he check/shove combo draws like JT here? Don’t have time to run equity calls against some ranges on turn however I think I couldn’t lay this down in this spot if you even bet 2.3k, which may be a leak.

Your hand has so much equity that bet/fold seems like a huge mistake here. If your plan is to b/f, then checking behind is infinitely better.

I think it's foolish to check behind to “redraw,” as at that point we have 0% indication that we are behind, he could easily be calling flop with KJ, AQ, AJ, QQ, JJ, maybe a lot more.  However, I do like checking behind to pot control.  Unless this guy is a calling station, he's probably not calling 3 barrels with worse (except maybe KJ), so no need to risk our tournament life when we have a nice edge.  If he leads river, we can call if we improve to a non-nut flush, trips, or two pair, as he is passive but we can't be too nitty.  We obviously raise straights and the As.  If he checks river, we have no reason to think top pair is no good, and can comfortably bet/fold if unimproved and bet/call if we are ahead of his check/shove range.
