Hey

when v makes the call on the turn , i pretty much discounted hands like 66/77/A6/A7 , they would want to raise these to get more money in the pot. The only hand that they may be calling with is a flush draw. The river improved my hand yet it quite possibly improved villians range.

I just think it looks weak for hero to just c/f river , this could be a good bluffing spot for v to bluff with the bottom of their range or even with a good hand like AQ/AK.

I'd fold. Most players aren't capable of turning pairs into bluffs, especially pairs as good as AK/AQ here. You only beat a bluff, and pretty much no one at these stakes bluffs as much as they should.

Folding the top of our range for checking this river? I wouldnt. We need a super read imo to fold near the top of our range on this river.

Villain could be going for thin value with 67/AT/AJ and 89 for a straight we beat. Villain would also quite possibly raise their flushdraws on the turn.

Yeah, this is a rare spot where I disagree with Andrew. I don't think people are bluffing enough at these stakes, but I do think they're valuebetting too much. I think we can see villain turn up with AJ/AT/other surprising hands often enough to make the check-call on the river.

I think river is more of a bet/fold to get value from the bad calldowns players make in these spots too – we're never getting raised by a hand that's not a flush, but there are some hands villain might call with which he would often check back if we check to him.

This is very intresting two 2 TPE pro's with different views. so andrew says c/fold ginger says b/fold , i'm not sure which line to take? maybe i shud of just folded pre LOL

Okay all jokes aside , I can see why c/f is good , clearly there's no bluffs in villians range here , he's called 2 streets so his range looks like

monsters – Flushes/ straight (for the gut shot with J8) , the straight is not a big part of there range here anyhow.

marginal – AQ/AJ , pocket pairs – QQ/99/88

draws/air  (they don't have any)

so as u can see their range consist of monsters/marginal hands

villian is obv checing back there marginal hands back on the river and betting their flushes , again that straight is very unlikely and sets are very unlikely , TT would surely raise turn , as for JJ he could of got there on the river so he may value bet that , as that hand would somewhat be inbetween a marginal and monster hand.

I do think some opponents will bet a hand like AQ/AJ here for thin value for sure otr, i just don't know if this opponent will?would u consider it standard for any opponent to bet AQ/AJ for thin value here on a 3 flush board?
